Come and Eat at Messiah Night!Chef Don is excited to get started. The first Messiah Night Meal offered is 5:00 – 6:30 PM, Wednesday, September 13. We have increased our budget for meals and improved our Kid’s Meals, too. We have volunteers ready to deliver meals to people’s homes, if that would be better for you or a friend. Please, contact Suzanne Schmandt, suzanneschmandt@gmail.com if you would like a meal delivered. Take-out meals will be available inside our Fellowship Hall. If you haven’t shared a meal on Messiah Night in years, come, try it again! You will be pleased. There is no reason to eat alone on Wednesdays at Messiah. New Small Groups Forming NowAgape Groups are new life groups forming for all of us to grow closer to Christ and each other. Groups of ten or twelve will gather on Wednesday nights, from 6:30 PM until 7:15 PM, for a season of ten to twelve weeks. They will share what has happened in their week, lift up prayers for each other, and do a short study on faith and faith practices. They are encouraged to come earlier, sit near each other as they eat together at Messiah Night, all to get to know one another better. Agape groups will help you grow your faith, forge new relationships that will bring you joy, and have a weekly moment centered in a cross-shaped community and prayer. The first season will begin September 13 and end November 15. Contact the church office or Pastor Karl, pastorkarl@messiahlutheran.net, if you would like to be a part of an Agape Group. |
![]() We have good news! We have a new Chef, Don Wood. Don knows this ministry. He led a very similar one at Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church for ten years. I am excited about his new ideas for our menu. I believe this will be a great step forward for us in our efforts to get people to gather again after the pandemic. Please join us in welcoming Don to Messiah! |
